Our Story

Six of us. One workbench. Every bag.

We're a family. Not a "family-owned brand". An actual family of six, all under one roof, all with our hands on the same leather.

Mom and Dad started Lois New York in 2018 out of a small shop in downtown Manhattan. The idea was simple and a little stubborn: make bags the way they used to be made, by hand, from leather good enough to outlive us. No factories. No shortcuts. No thousand-unit runs of something nobody will remember next season.

Grandpa taught us to cut. Grandma taught us to finish. The two of us kids grew up doing homework on the workbench, and now we run the front of the shop and the website you're reading right now.

What we make

Leather and suede bags, handmade in small batches. Every piece is cut, stitched, and finished by one of us before it goes into a box with your name on it.

We use full-grain leather because it's the only kind that gets better with age. It picks up a patina. It softens where your hand rests. Five years from now, your bag won't look new, and that's exactly the point. It'll look like yours.

The suede pieces are the ones Grandma insisted on. She was right.

Why it matters

Most bags are designed to be replaced. Ours are designed to be handed down.

When you buy from us, you're not funding a warehouse. You're keeping a small shop in New York open, and putting six people to work doing something they actually love. That's the whole business. We've never wanted it to be bigger than that.

Ordering from us

Your bag leaves our workbench within 1 to 2 business days, with free shipping on all orders.

And if it isn't right, send it back within 30 days. Free. No arguments, no forms, no runaround. We'd rather you love it than keep it.
